Proudly and Authentically Representing the LatinxQ+ Community Through Song

In celebration of LatinxQ+ Halfmoon Legacy, the world’s first LGBTQ+ mariachi performs a program of queer-inspired ranchera music and mariachi-style Broadway show-tunes.

LatinxQ+ Halfmoon Legacy celebrates and recognizes two very important communities that are part of the foundation of our society, especially in Southern California. Latinx/Hispanic Heritage month and LGBTQ+ History month overlap during the first two weeks of October. This new term LatinxQ+ has been created to represent these two marginalized community. Adding the new term Halfmoon Legacy, focuses on the specific two-week Latinx/LGBTQ+ junction and its representation.
